Domain Authority is a search engine ranking score which is by developed by Moz to predict the rank on search engine result pages (SERPs). It can be calculated by evaluating multiple factors such as root domains and total numbers of links available in a single Domain authority score.


Domain Authority is developed by Moz that can predict how much knowledge of SEO does any trainer, teacher, coach, guru, expert, master has. Domain Authority (DA) has nothing to do with the rank of any website as the reason behind this is that Google does not rank any website, although google ranks web pages. Goggles deals with the page rank algorithm not with the domain rank algorithm. Goggle index and ranks different-different pages but do not rank whole domain. The backlinks values depend upon its position as in any page, generally, the link available on top of the page is found to be more valuable and the link provides at the bottom of the page is less valuable. This is because as goggle knows the human tendency that chances of clicking the top link are much more as compared to bottom link or even maybe not reaching till the bottom link. Therefore, goggle gives more value to the link available on top of the page and gives less value to the link available on the bottom of the page. This system is known as the reasonable system model. So, where goggle gives rank by judging the quality of links Moz just counts them to generate the score of domain authority as Moz is a marketing company.

  • Using domain authority is not a problem but taking service for increasing DA is a complete waste of time and money.
  • From the best-case scenario, you can get some spammy backlinks that will be ignored by the goggle.
