Spam Score is a metric that is used in the base used in the backlinks campaign, guest post or to buy an expired domain. But have you ever thought that this spam score can itself be spam? Low Number of Pages Found:- If the number of pages on your website is
low, then Moz can give you more spam scores. A small website with more spam
scores is not logical as if a person was doing small business, that person
would not make the website of 100 pages.

TLD Correlated with Spam Domains:- Moz gives more spam scores with
websites such as .info, .pl, .Cc, etc (top-level domain extension) as chances
of being spam sites as more as compared to another website.

Domain Name Length:- If the name (length) of your domain or sub-domain
name is very short or very big, it can be another reason for increasing the
spam score.
·
Domain Name Contains Numerals:- If any company is using a number in
their domain name, that company can get more spam scores.

Google Font API present:- For reducing the loading time or external
domain requests of any website, many people use self-hosted fonts. Domain does
not use special fonts. Lacking this feature was common among spam sites we
found.

Google Tag Manager:- Google tag manager is never present on spam sites.
According to Moz, if Google tag manager is not present on your site, your site can
be spammy.

Double-Click Present:- The double-click ad tag is never present on spam
sites.

Phone Number Present:- Spam sites rarely have real phone numbers
present on their pages or websites. If a phone number is not given on the
website, also the spam score can be increased.

Links to LinkedIn:- Almost no spam sites have an associated LinkedIn
page, hence lacking this feature is correlated with spam.

Email Address Present:- If an email address is not present on the
website, then also Moz will doubt your website, and automatically your spam
score will be increased. Email addresses never present on the spam website.

Default to HTTPS:- HTTPS is a good trusted signal. A few spam sites
invest in SSL certificates.

Use of Meta Keywords:- If you are using Meta keywords tags in your
pages or website, it can lead you to an increase in your spam score.

Visit Rank:- Websites that are visited or viewed very little can also
be spammed.
·
Rel Canonical:- If any other external website has made your website
Canonical, then, according to Moz this is also a suspicious sign, and it can
also, increase your spam score.

Length of title Element:- Pages of a website with a very long or short
title correlated with spam sites.
·
Length of Meta description:- Content of pages with very long and short
meta description tags are correlated with spam sites.
·
Length of Meta Keyword:- Content of pages with long meta keywords tags
are often found on spam sites.
·
Browser Icon:- Sites rarely use a favicon but non-spam sites do.
·
Facebook Pixel:- The Facebook tracking pixel is rarely present on spam
sites.
·
The Number of External Outlinks:- If your website is dealing with
abnormally very high or low external outlinks, then also your spam score can be
increased.
·
Number of Domains Linked To:- If your website is dealing with
abnormally very high or low unique domains, then your spam score can be
increased again.
·
The ratio of External Link to Content:- Spam sites are more likely to
have abnormal ratios of links to content.

Vowels/Consonant in Domain Name:- Sites containing sequential vowels or
consonants in their domain name can also increase your spam score.
·
A hyphen in Domain Names:- Website uses multiple hyphens in their
Domain Name can also increase your spam score.
